Sculptor and Creative Director Laura Phelps Rogers exhibits her work on the North Wall of the Gallery making that space available as needed -She recently exhibited her work in a solo show at the new Pirate location - April 20th to May 6th - in a series, presented in installation format, titled ENCHANTED. Several of the individual works have been placed in the Glass-Hall Gallery at 3270 Blake St. another exhibition space Laura maintains. Even with the new gallery, she plans to continue her membership at Pirate Contemporary Art for the space needed to work large scale or installation format. Pirate Contemporary Art is an alternative space with self produced, not curated and self managed sitting and marketing with little foot traffic. She focuses her multidisciplinary approach in the public, private, site-specific and installation sectors. She has been featured at Art Basel Spectrum 2017; Cultivation, Armchair Traveler and Verisimilitude at art in public spaces venue Republic Plaza in Denver 2016-2018; IGCA in Anchorage; Woman Made Gallery Chicago - Grass Roots Exhibition; Hirschfeld Gallery at the Woman's College at the University of Denver in her first almost retrospective A Women's View; Art and Conflict Arvada Center. Currently creating a large social engagement public work at the Volcano Art Center Hawaii; Las Vegas NV exhibiting her New Look At The American West image series; Navy Pier Art Expo NY 2018 with her Not So Fragile Series; and Solid Gone in Wilkes Bar PA curated by London based Ben Woodeson. Laura is a metal caster so those involved in this medium have a special place in her life.
