Artists applying should consider applying to Museology an exhibition in 2 parts I & II. Artists will apply through the link to the CaFe website (coming here the week of January 14th). Regular gallery artist applications will be suspended while this call and exhibition are live.
The historic process to be considered for inclusion in the gallery has been: Artists together with their $35 application fee prepare a MLA style art CV, images of 5-6 works, a Price List with dimensions and titles, a short 1st person Artist Statement (influences etc.) and 3rd person 1-2 paragraph bio. Email your documents to curator@foolproofcontemporaryart.com - The artist would have then added their application fee to the cart: https://foolproofcontemporaryart.com/applyhere
Artists were considered on a rolling trial basis Sculptors, Abstract Impressionist and figurative artists are prioritized. Contemporary Artists working in all mediums Mixed Media, Painting, New Media and Sculpture are welcome to apply. The gallery specializes in sculpture and installation art. CURRENTLY ANY APPLYING ARTIST WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE NATIONAL JURIED CALL MUSEOLOGY and considered for a gallery or museum relationship in conjunction with the the process assigned to that call.
In the past just prior to the current national juried call, the gallery had 3 scenarios artists were brought into the gallery (1.) By invitation (2.) in a short term trial Membership model giving artists continual exposure with work on display or made available to gallery guests - minimum 6 month commitment (3.) paid specific positions in an exhibition - locations prices vary depending on size and visibility. Artists with extensive exhibition histories, teaching art at universities or in museum collections or with exclusive bodies of work have preference.
Any Application advanced while the national juried call is going (2025) will consider artists and their work for the physical gallery
Artists applications shall be under our membership model with the same terms as the national juried call in which the gallery provides 6 month term for 1-10 works and potential for inclusion in gallery exhibitions. Online representation shall be with only assigned specific bodies of work exclusive to the gallery. The fee is paid monthly $60 per month - first and last upfront and is an at will agreement. Works selected remain on hand at the gallery and for 60 days post contract. Commissions are 30% and when an artist directs a client to the gallery the commission is reduced to 15%
All artists are monitored and vetted for their commitment and support to the gallery.
fooLPRoof gallery membership model is designed to give artists a continual physical presence in the gallery with works available to the general public in a retail environment - rather than one short exhibition as in many other gallery models.
Featured Exhibition or solo exhibition opportunities in the Physical Gallery can be discussed after vetting, with 4-6 months advance planning, for a fee or minimum sales. In the rear front or rear. Works must remain on hand for 150 days post event unless specifically excepted.
Online exhibitions expanded into Artsy as a partner. Image preparation may have a fee and sales processing or packaging may as well. Offering exposure on ARTSY must be with work(s) exclusive to the gallery.
The gallery exhibitions all have Press releases, PR material and ads. The artists are not involved in these tasks other than to promote events advanced by the gallery. Promoting the events & creating a synergy is expected. An artist’s success is limited by their ability to create a synergy.
Individual PR, General Press releases and marketing packages are available at additional cost from $250-$450 depending on what is desired. Coaching on acceptable personal PR is advised and available.
Banner and Billboard graphic material for outdoors are additional.
Invoices are issued for monthly membership fees and exhibition fees
For artists with advanced practices - your inquiry is welcome. The gallery takes a custom approach to those representations or agreements. Artists with advanced practices might include: artists teaching in higher education or with work in museum collections - All exhibiting Artists directing clients to the gallery receive a reduced commission if a sale is completed.

Creating amazing conversations and experiences through art is our goal.
One of our primary goals is to save clients money and put more dollars in artists pockets through lower commissions and opportunities to have continual exposure.
